Two local women charged with prostitution

Two local women were arrested and charged with prostitution last week.
Emily Barfuss Martinez, 31, of Tremonton, and Amanda Lee Boldrin, 30, of Garland, were both arrested by Tremonton Police after a sting operation was conducted upon suspicion of the women’s activities. Tremonton Police Chief Dave Nance said the women were advertising massages and would offer sexual services to clients in exchange for payment.
“It’s evident that they have a pretty good clientele in our area and have been doing this for quite a while,” Nance said. “We’ll be actively looking to pursue cases against the clients as well.”
The women were arrested last Thursday around 11 a.m. after a Layton police officer helped with the operation. The officer set up an appointment with the two individuals, met at an established location and negotiated a price for services when the arrests took place. The women were also charged with possession of marijuana and operating a sexually oriented business without a license on top of the prostitution charges.
