K. Donnell Bown


Bothwell – K. Donnell Bown, 78, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010. He was born in Manti, UT, April 12, 1932, to Robert B. and Clara Vilate Larsen Bown. He was raised in Manti. He was a member of the LDS Church. He graduated from Manti High School and Snow College. He served in the National Guard in the Korean War.
He married DeLora Marble June 8, 1956, in the Manti Temple. Three children joined their family. Donnell worked at Thiokol for 34 years. He served in various church callings and as a ward clerk under three bishoprics. He served as an officiator in the Logan Temple for nine and a half years. He loved sports, hunting and fishing and had many stories to tell about his adventures.
He is survived by his sweet wife, DeLora; his three children: Jenna Kae (John) Whiting, Brigham City; David, Brigham City; Claire (Andrew) Jarvis, Logan; seven grandchildren; Andrea (Cade); Elise (Christopher), Jacob, Daniel, Alex, Tanner and Hunter. They will all greatly miss him. He is also survived by his two brothers, Robert (Ruth) and Howard (Sharlotte). He was preceded in death by both of his parents and in-laws.
The family would like to express deep gratitude to the Bothwell Ward for their love and kindness and to Primrose Hospice for their excellent care.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010, at the Bothwell Ward LDS Church, 10350 West 11600 North, Bothwell. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010, at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main, Garland and prior to the funeral on Saturday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Bothwell Valley View Cemetery.

Mary Jane Stanley


Mary Jane Stanley, 94, our beloved Grandma Janie, returned to her Heavenly Father on August 2, 2010, to be with the many loved ones that have gone on before.
She was born July 22, 1916, to Jacob Wheeler Reed and Anna Belle Woodward in Murray, UT. She was raised on the ranches of Northern Elko County with her four brothers and two sisters.
She married Thomas Henry Stanley on a nice September afternoon in 1934. They lived on the White Rock Ranch in Elko County until 1935 when they moved to Salt Lake City. Their only son, Reed Leroy Stanley, was born while they were living in Salt Lake City. She was baptized a member of the LDS church on Easter Sunday April 1, 1945.
She lived her life serving family and others through church callings and community volunteerism. She served as a Family History Missionary in the Roosevelt Utah Stake, and did extraction work in the Tremonton Utah Stake. Her home and her heart were always open to everyone.
She is survived by her son Reed Stanley (LaDean), Holbrook, ID, three grandchildren: Kari Sue (Dee) Marble, Ronald Dean (Debbie) Stanley, Steven R. Stanley (Heatherly), 13 great grandchildren and five and a half great-great grandchildren. Her husband, siblings and one great granddaughter precede her in death.
Grandma Janie will be greatly missed by friends, family and loved ones. Her family expresses thanks to Primrose Healthcare and Hospice, doctors and those wonderful people who have touched her life over the last few years.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 5, in the Bothwell LDS Chapel at 11 a.m. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery in Taylorsville, UT.

Kambry Blayke Kearl

TREMONTON-We thought we were getting a baby, but got an angel instead.
Kambry Blayke Kearl was born Tuesday, July 27, 2010, to loving parents, Adam and Alysha and excited big sister, Rynden. She peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, July 28, 2010.
She is survived by her parents, Adam Kearl and Alysha Bingham; big sister, Rynden RyLee; grandparents, Bart (Lynda) Bingham of Tremonton, Steve (Sarah) Kearl of Riverside, Craig (Margie) Burbank of Austin, NV, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held 9 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2010, at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main St., Garland. Interment at Riverview Cemetery.

Loyd W. Hess


PLYMOUTH – Loyd W. Hess, 77, passed away at his home Sunday, August 1, 2010. He was born June 5, 1933, in Plymouth, UT to Jess and Maud Wolverton Hess. He attended Plymouth Elementary and Bear River High School. He married Jean Holcomb July 31, 1962. She died June 5, 2010.
Loyd worked for U & I Sugar Factory, Box Elder County, Christensen Grain and Parson’s.
He is survived by his children: Penny (Paul) Marshall, Joellyn (Bob) Harris, Brian (Ruth) Kidder, Brad (Paula) Hess, Steven Hess; sisters: Norma Steed, Darlene Ipsen, Carma Josten; brother, Mitchell Hess; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean; son, Loyd Kim Hess and parents.
A graveside service will be held 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Plymouth Cemetery. A visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. at Rudd Funeral Home, 1234 South Main St., Garland.
The family wishes to thank the Dialysis Staff at Logan Regional Hospital for their excellent care.
