Dale Young graduates honored

Dale Young Community High School held its commencement ceremony to honor its graduates last Wednesday, June 23, at the Bear River High School Auditorium.
When the alternative program was first implemented in Box Elder School District, the north and south school within-a-school programs of the school district were combined into one. In 2002 the Community High School was organized. The district received a substantial donation from Drs. Dale and Adele C. Young and the old district office was transformed into the existing Community High School. Dr. Dale Young has continued to be a major contributor to the school that bears his name.
The school colors from Bear River High School (red) and Box Elder High School (purple) were combined to make the school colors of maroon and grey. The wolf was chosen as the school mascot. Wolf cubs are raised by the whole pack and the faculty and staff at Dale Young Community High School work as a team to help every student succeed.
Dale Young Community High School is a Northwest Accredited High School and offers a traditional High School Diploma, an Adult Education Secondary Diploma as well as GED preparation. This year 134 students earned their High School Diplomas (14 students earned their traditional High School Diploma, 101 students earned their Adult Education Secondary Diploma, and 19 students earned their Utah High School Completion Diploma – GED).
Each of us has different talents, different dreams, and different destinations, yet we all have the power to make a new tomorrow.  Graduates are as follows:
