More bad news hit workers at ATK last week, as nearly 250 people were either laid off or voluntarily quit their jobs.
Last week’s layoffs mark the fourth time the company has been forced to part ways with its employees in the last year, bringing the total number of workers laid off to well over 1,000. The only good news to come from last week’s layoffs is that company officials say they believe there won’t be a need to lay off any more employees for the rest of the year.
“Our current contract base should be enough to carry us through the rest of the year,” ATK spokesperson George Torres said.
