Special to the Leader
The Bear River Water Polo team has completed its 2010 season as they came home with the highest position amongst the 3A High School division. The boys took seventh place in an open division from 5A schools on down.
Jason Jennings was a team leader in scoring during the tournament. Captains Peter Wendel, a senior, and Alex Parkinson, a junior, showed their skills with quick firing shots and superb defensive maneuvering.
Defensively, goalie Caleb Stanley-Gray, a senior, was amazing in the cage blocking shots and keeping the scores to a minimum. This is only his second year playing and he did a wonderful job in the cage.
