After jumping ahead of the Logan Grizzlies by a 13-0 score, the Bears fell flat in the final three quarters and lost their season opener to the Grizzlies 42-16.

The Bears had to replace several key starters from their playoff team of last year. Despite that, they jumped out early on two Walker Riley TD passes to Cole Fronk.

But the Grizz battle back behind the play of senior quarterback Kinkade Wildman. He threw and ran Logan to the lead as they cruised to the win.

The Bears travel to Hyrum next week to take on the Mountain Crest Mustangs. Game time is Friday at 7 p.m.

Here are some photos from tonight’s game by the Leader’s Greg Madson. Watch for a video report on the game by the Leader’s Jessica Tanner.
