Bandstand opens with band of locals
The Box Elder County Fair is underway with something for everyone including a wide variety of music that’ll have you tapping your boots and singing aloud. This year at the bandstand, American Fret will perform after the parade on Wednesday, Aug. 20, from 6-8 p.m.
American Fret is making their debut at the fair, drummer and producer, Neal Moore said. “We took this a different way. We wrote the music and recorded it and now we are going out to play. This (performance) will be our first actual major show. All our songs are making their life debut this Wednesday.”
Each member has ties to Box Elder County and are thrilled to be playing their first performance at the Box Elder County fair. Lead singer Keri Hales Patterson, formerly of Bear River City, said, “I love the fair, I live for the fair!”
About their upcoming performance, she stated, “We are excited for sure. There’s nothing better than playing for our friends and families.”
Band members also include former Bear River City residents Spencer Jones—lead guitar and Levi Tarver—bass player, and Moore who is originally from Mantua.
