NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ROAD VACATION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Utah Code Annotated 72-3-108 that a public hearing will be held concerning a petition to vacate all of county road 6800 W. south of the Chesapeake Duck Club gate in the West Corinne area of unincorporated Box Elder County.  The public hearing will be held on the 3rd day of September 2014, at 5:20 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Box Elder County Courthouse, 01 South Main Street, Brigham City, Utah 84302.  All interested parties are invited to attend.  If you have any questions, please contact County Planner Scott Lyons at 734-3316.

LEGAL NOTICE
 The City of Tremonton, Utah hereby gives notice that on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., at the Tremonton City Office, 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah, the Tremonton City Council will hold a public hearing whereby the public may provide comments on an application submitted by Crump Reese Motors to dispose of 5 acres of real property owned by Tremonton City.  More specifically, Crump Reese Motors is wanting to purchase 5 acres owned by Tremonton City.  The subject property is located at approximately 118 North and 2000 West in Tremonton, Utah.  For additional information regarding the application, please contact Steve Bench, Zoning Administrator at 435-257-9510 or Shawn Warnke, City Manager at 435-257-9504.

Box Elder County is soliciting competitive proposals from qualified certified public accounting firms to audit their separate financial statements for the fiscal years ending December 31, 2014-2018.

Three (3) copies of a written proposal will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Friday September 26, 2014 at the Box Elder County Auditor’s Office, 01 South Main Street, Brigham City, UT  84302, attention Tom Kotter, County Auditor. No responses will be accepted after that date and time. The sealed transmittal is to have “PROFESSIONAL AUDITING SERVICES” clearly marked on the outside of the package.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
1.1 CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
A. Bidders are invited to bid on a Construction Contract known as:
HONEYVILLE CITY STATE HIGHWAY 38 SOUTH GAP SAFETY SIDEWALK PROJECT
B. The location of the work is on the east side of State Highway 38 in Honeyville City, Utah.  The site location is in the south region of the community and is further described and shown on the plans.
C. The work to be performed consists of a single construction contract described as follows:

SIDEWALK PROJECT
Contracts for the contract will be awarded in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
D. The project has been approved by Honeyville City and UDOT and is funding in part by a grant from UDOT to Honeyville City with supplemental funding coming from Honeyville City which will handle project administration.
 D. The OWNER is Honeyville City, Utah in cooperation with UDOT who owns the State Highway right-of-way in which the project is to be constructed.
E. THE PROJECT ENGINEER is Hansen and Associates, Inc.

1.2 BID LOCATION AND OPENING
A. Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. MDT, at the office of the Project Engineer, HANSEN AND ASSOCIATES, INC. at 538 North Main, Brigham City, Utah, on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014.   Bids received after 2:00 p.m. MDT will not be accepted.  Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at said office about 2:00 p.m. by the ENGINEER or an official representative of the OWNER.
B. On the outside of the envelope, the bidder shall indicate the Construction Contract title, the name and address of the Bidder, and the date and time of Bid opening and the Bidder’s return mailing address.
1.3 BID SECURITY
A. Bid security in the amount of 5% percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.  Bid Security will be returned to each unsuccessful Bidder after tabulation and award of the Construction Contracts.
   1.4 PRE-BID SITE TOUR
A. A pre-bid site tour will be held at 10:00 a.m. MDT on the 21st day of August, 2014, commencing at the Honeyville City Municipal Building, 2371 W 6980 N, Honeyville City, Utah.  All contractors intending to submit a bid are invited to attend to obtain relevant information concerning the project.  Bidders are advised that information affecting drawings, specifications, conditions, scope of the Work, etc. may be discussed.  OWNER assumes no obligation to disclose information discussed at the pre-bid site tour to Bidders who do not attend.  Absent Bidders assume all risk of failure to attend.
1.5 BASIS OF BIDS
A. Bids for each Construction Contract shall be on a unit price basis unless otherwise specified in the bid schedules. 
1.6 CONTRACT TIME
A. The Work will be Substantially Completed for the Contract by October 31, 2014.
1.7 EXAMINATION AND PROCUREMENT OF DOCUMENTS
A. Complete sets of Contract Documents may be examined and obtained at the offices of the PROJECT ENGINEER at 538 North Main, Brigham City, Utah after 9:00 A.M., on the day of August 14, 2014.  A non-refundable charge of $50.00 will be required for each complete set.  Payment must be a cashier’s or company check payable to the HANSEN AND ASSOCIATES.
1.8 RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS
A. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality or technicality in any bid if deemed to be in the best interest of the OWNER.
1.9 VALIDITY PERIOD FOR BIDS
A. Bids shall remain valid for 45 days after the day of Bid opening.  Bidders who withdraw their bid after Bid opening, but before expiration of said period, shall forfeit their bid security if Notice of Intent to Award to the successful Bidder is made by OWNER.
