The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by Garland Fire, responded to
13000 N. 4400 W., East Garland Road to rescue a horse and six cows that had fallen in the canal last Wednesday afternoon. One of the rescuers said the animals belonged to Slash M Ranch and were discovered just before 5 p.m. Family members were able push most of the animals out before help arrived, but Cowboy Josh Munns lassoed the last cow and pulled it out of the water about a quarter mile from where it fell in. None of the animals were injured.

Maybe the news paper should talk to the owner of the livestock because the only animal belonging to slash m ranch was the horse helping in the rescue operation. I got plenty close to those cows and they did not have a slash m brand on them.
