The summertime Cub Scout pack activity for all cubs and their families will be held Thursday, Aug. 7, starting at 5:30 p.m., at North Park Park. Dinner will be available for purchase.

The registration process for the upcoming school year for sixth and seventh graders will be done online, Monday, July 28 through Friday, Aug. 8.
Registration postcards have been mailed to students with information needed to complete registration via the school’s website www.achi.besd.netClick on the registration link.
Class fees can also be paid online or by mail to ACHI, 515 N. 800 W., Tremonton, Utah, 84337. ACHI’s computer lab will be available to parents who do not have internet to complete the registration process, Aug. 4-8, from 9 a.m. to noon.

An AARP Smart Driver course will be offered Aug. 15, beginning at 9 a.m., at the Bear River Valley Senior Center, 510 W. 1000 N., Tremonton. AARP certified instructor, Steve Hodges, will teach the class that helps older drivers become more aware of changes that occur due to aging.
Cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members. To register, call, 257-9455 or 257-3747. Class space is limited. Completion qualifies drivers for discounts on auto insurance.
Teenage girls in the Tremonton area are invited to participate in a Back-to-School workshop Aug. 11-12, from 1-4 p.m., at the Hampton Inn conference room. This workshop is free to all girls, ages 10-18, and their mothers. For more information or to reserve a seat, call 435-723-5600. Funding for this event is provided by the Utah Department of Health and New Hope Crisis Center.
Bear River Middle School will hold a Back-to-School night on Monday, Aug. 18, at 7 p.m. A short meeting will be held in the gym, then parents and students can meet their teachers in the classrooms.

Adult Summer Reading Program will run six weeks with prize drawings for participants who sign up and enter their name for each book they finish. Books highlighting various literary elements will be available through the summer.

The Children’s and Teens’ Summer Reading program has ended. Report reading and receive packet and invitation to the end party. The Adult Program Summer Reading end party will be Saturday, Aug. 9, at the library from 5-7 p.m.
