Fairy Tales and Fables with Miss JeriAnne are Thursday, 4-5 p.m. The Children’s Summer Reading Program will explore a science experience each week: July 31 – Myth Busters Summer Finale 4 p.m.
Start a Reaction is this year’s program. Nothing scheduled for July 24. July 25 – Guitar Hero Tournament 6 p.m.; Aug. 2 – Street Dance 8:30 p.m.
Adult Summer Reading Program will run six weeks with prize drawings for all participants who sign up and enter their name for each book they finish. Books highlighting various literary elements will be available through the summer.
BEEing Bilingual is Sweet Program – Tuesdays 6 p.m.
All summer reading programs will have finale party, the Physics Show, on July 31, at 4 p.m., in the Garland City auditorium. The presenter will be James M. Coburn, teacher and lab supervisor at Utah State University.
Story hour is now twice a week, Wednesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m.
There will be an adult activity making cards on July 23, from 3-6 p.m., at the Senior Center. Come to the library to sign up. There will be a $7 charge for supplies for this activity.
Eat and Run
The breakfast and fun run, as part of Garland’s Wheat and Beet Days, is planned for Aug. 2. Meal tickets are $3 for adults, $1.50 for youth, and $15 for immediate family. Donations for the breakfast can be made at the Garland City offices. The Bear River High School Class of 1994 will be holding their 20-year reunion on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at the high school. A tour of the school and social hour will start at 6 p.m., with dinner starting at 7 p.m. Dinner is $25 per person. Dress the Band
A benefit concert to help purchase new band uniforms for the Bear River High School marching band is slated for Tuesday, July 29, at 7 p.m., at the Box Elder County fairgrounds.
Music for the event will be provided by Truman Brothers. Tickets are available at www.dresstheband.eventbrite.com or from any band member.
The summertime Cub Scout pack activity for all cubs and their families will be held Thursday, Aug. 7, starting at 5:30 p.m., at North Park Park. Dinner will be available for purchase.

The registration process for the upcoming school year for sixth and seventh graders will be done online, Monday, July 28 through Friday, Aug. 8.
