You won’t want to miss the living art exhibit at Bear River Museum sponsored by the Bear River Valley Painters, one of Tremonton’s best-kept secrets. The exhibit features a variety of work from beginner to expert, done in all mediums. The display and, most likely, one of the painters will be at the museum weekdays from 2-5 p.m. through July. Patrons should feel free to interrupt the painters who welcome questions about their art.
Many of the local artists have an appetizer displayed in the natural light of the museum’s front windows, beckoning guests to come inside to enjoy a full course meal of rolling landscapes, attention-grabbing wildlife and portraits, showy still lifes, and shiny sculptures.
Bear River Valley Painters have met for years every Thursday from nine until noon at the Tremonton Water Treatment facility. Organized by Jo Lasley of Tremonton, the group works together for encouragement and inspiration. The artists come from all levels of experience and expertise.
