A 15×30 foot shed,storing horse tack and used as a chicken coop, went up in flames on Thursday, June 26, just after 7:30 p.m., at 9415 N. 7600 W. in Tremonton. According to EMS Battalion Chief Mark Thompson, the fire appears to be electrical and started in the shed, but the cause is still unknown. The structure is a complete loss and a few chickens, as well as a skunk, were killed in the fire. However, crews were able to contain the fire and it never threatened other structures. Estimated damage is about $8,000. Tremonton and Garland fire departments responded and had the fire out within two hours.
