The day kicks off with yearling and two-year-old futurity at 10 a.m. Admissions is free. The mini bulls long round starts at 5 p.m., with the mini bulls short round (3-4 year old bulls) and team bull fighting getting underway at 7 pm.
Not only do the cowboys have a chance at the cash, but so will bystanders. New this year is the opportunity for spectators to “buy” a bull during the night performance. If your bull wins, you win cash. Each bull sells for $50 with half the proceeds going into a pot for the night’s lucky winners. The other half goes to Primary Children’s Hospital.
With almost 27 three-year old bulls at $50 a head there is potential for about $1350 just for that class. That’s a whopping $675 to Primary Children’s, $337 for first place, $202 for second and $135 for third. The three-year-old class and four-year-old class will have separate paybacks.
Tickets for adults are $10, kids are $5 and family passes are $25.
