Scooter Accident

On Thursday, June 5, just after 8:30 p.m., a 55-year-old male was found lying in the road after he lost control of his scooter. According to Box Elder County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Potter, Jeffrey Lacey, from Tremonton, was driving a motor scooter at 11067 North 11600 West, Thatcher. No one witnessed the accident but passersby found him there and called for help. He said it appears that Lacey went off the road and laid down the scooter. Lacey sustained head injuries and was taken to Bear River Valley Hospital by Tremonton ambulance. The case is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Department and Utah Highway Patrol assisted.
