A three-vehicle collision occurred at the Riverside Corner intersection, highway 30 mm 92, at about 3 p.m., on Wednesday, May 28. According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Devin Rose a four-door sedan driven by Leslie Lawrence, 86, of Oregon, was traveling westbound and ran the stop sign. The sedan hit the front tire of a motorcycle, driven by Darwin Ashliman, 29, of Nibley. Ashliman was facing south in the left turn lane to head eastbound. A white Dodge pickup truck, driven by Douglas Cole, 53, of Elwood, was also in the intersection headed southbound. After clipping the motorcycle the sedan hit the driver side of the pickup. Ashliman had injuries to his pelvis and was transferred to Bear River Valley Hospital and then LifeFlighted to Ogden. Lawrence had possible neck injuries and his passenger, Rosall Tooker, 85, had chest pain and a fractured ankle. They were transferred to Bear River Valley Hospital as well. Cole received no serious injuries. UHP, the Sheriff’s Department, Tremonton City ambulance and Fielding first responders responded to the accident. The driver of the sedan was issued a citation for running a stop sign.
