Brian S. Christensen

September 15, 1961  –  May 18, 2014

Centerville, GA: Brian S. Christensen, 52, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Southside Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6PM until 8 PM Wednesday at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private.

Mr. Christensen was born in Brigham City, UT to the late George and Lena (Sutton) Christensen. He was an educator with degrees from MGCSU, the University of Georgia and the University of Sarasota. He played 4 years as an offensive tackle for Utah State University and then played briefly with the Kansas City Chiefs. After his professional career, Brian taught and coached at Windsor Academy in Macon before coming to Houston County in 1987. He enjoyed teaching and coaching sports at Warner Robins Middle School before becoming assistant principal at Houston County High School in 1997. He was presently teaching at Edge Academy. Mr. Christensen attended the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years Pattie Pratt (Patsy) Christensen, son Cameron Christensen and daughter Caitlen Christensen all of Centerville, brother’s Darrell (Sandra), James, Carey (Cindy), and Darwin Christensen of Utah and Nevada.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SunMark Community Bank at 250 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, GA, 31088, for an education fund for Caitlen Christensen.
