Tolman named as district superintendent

photo               An Afton, Wyo. native with a long history in education was named as the new Box Elder School District superintendent Wednesday night.  He will replace outgoing superintendent Ron Wolff, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Dr. Ronald Tolman has been the superintendent for the Jefferson School District in Rigby, Idaho, since 2003 and was superintendent in Lincoln County School District #2 in Star Valley, Wyo., prior.  He was named Distinguished Principal of the Year for the state of Wyoming in 1991.

He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Utah State University and his doctorate degree in administration at the University of Wyoming.

He has been married to his wife, Sue, for 45 years.  They are the parents of four children.  He and his wife are looking forward to exploring the opportunities available in Box Elder County.
