PUBLIC NOTICE
Used 70 foot scale for sale: Box Elder County is accepting sealed bids on a 1996 Cardinal Scale 10’ X 70’.  It has a cardinal monitor 748P and the serial number is E 15200-0099. The scale is currently at the Little Mountain Landfill. Box Elder County can transport the scale up to 110 miles, (min charge $250 pro rate transport $9.00 per mile). The Scale will be available for transport after June 2, 2014.  If interested please submit a sealed bid to:

2014 ROAD MAINTENANCE PROJECTS – BOX ELDER COUNTY
RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids for the 2014 ROAD MAINTENANCE PROJECTS will be received at the Box Elder County Court House, 1 South Main Street, Brigham City, Utah in the office of Marla Young County Clerk, until 2:00 on May 28, 2014.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work includes saw cutting 78 l.f. of existing asphalt roadway, removing defective asphalt, and tack edge of existing roadway where we match in. Furnish & install 3,200 ton of 1” thin lift open graded seal coat overlay. Furnish & install 1,264 ton of 1” to 3” thick UDOT 1⁄2” mix bituminous surface course (HMA). Furnish & install 225 tons of asphalt level course.
LOCATION OF THE WORK: The work is located on Box Elder County Roads as follows: 10400 North (Rocket Road) beginning at 10000 West and running 8,400 feet east. 10400 North (Rocket Road) beginning 200 feet west of 8400 West and running west 1,650 feet. Faust Valley Road from 11600 West running west 7,900 feet, and also beginning where Faust Valley Road leaves SR- 102 and running west 150 feet, 400 West between 14600 North and 14400 North, and a deceleration lane and new entrance to Box Elder County Fair grounds on Tremonton Main Street west of 1000 West Street.
COMPLETION OF THE WORK: All work covered by the contract documents shall be completed 60 days following the Notice to Proceed.
OPENING OF BIDS: The bids will be publicly opened in the office of the County Clerk at 2:00 pm on May 28, 2014 at the above mentioned Box Elder County Offices, 1 South Main Street, Brigham City, Utah.
OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, may be obtained after May 7th, 2014 at the office of the Engineer: Jones and Associates, 1716 East 5600 South, South Ogden, Utah upon application and payment of a $40.00 non-refundable fee to Jones & Associates.
BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price payable to BOX ELDER COUNTY as a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of worker’s compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) of the contract price.
WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: A waiting period of 30 calendar days from the date of opening of bids to the award of contract may be required. Bidder’s shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period is stated in and does not restrict the proposal guarantee.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any “or equal” products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.
OWNER’S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive an informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the Owner.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Tremonton City Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on May 27, 2014, 102 South Tremont Street, 5:30 p.m., or thereafter and at which time public comment will be heard and consideration given to a proposed rezoning of property from residential R1-20 (half acre) to rural residential RR-1 (one acre) at 994 West 600 South, a parcel of property containing 1.3 acres. A copy of the proposed application and required documents will be available for review or comment prior to the public hearing at Tremonton City hall, 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah during normal business hours.

RECEIPT OF BIDS:  Sealed bids will be received at the office of Tremonton City Offices, 102 South Tremont Street, until 11:00 am on May 28, 2014, for the 2014 C.D.B.G. SENIOR CENTER PARKING LOT EXPANSION PROJECT.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:  The work consists of constructing an asphalt parking lot with associated concrete work and the construction of a masonry wall garbage enclosure.
LOCATION OF THE WORK:  The work is located at 510 West 1000 North in Tremonton, Utah
COMPLETION OF THE WORK:  All work covered by the contract documents shall be completed within 60 day calendar days following Notice to Proceed.
