Sparkling dresses, carefully constructed up-do’s, just the right shoes and jewelry and of course, matching tuxedos were the theme of the night as the 2014 Bear River High School prom was held Saturday in Ogden. Juniors, and some seniors and sophomores, gathered for a night of memorable experiences and friendships while kicking off the celebrations on Friday.
This year’s theme, “All About Us,” based off a song by He is We was sang by Carson Gibbs, Emily Pingle, Sage Nielson and Tanner Roberts.
“The song is really about everyone,” said Sadie Croney. The song, she said, best fits the entire junior class but doesn’t have a romantic feel, just something fun that everyone can enjoy.
This year’s prom committee, Cierra Stokes, Whitney Wilcox, Madi Olsen, Carson Gibbs, Laura Rees, Katie Brough, Rachel Hughes, Travis Seamons, Willie Lish, Jackson Wall, Hunter Porritt, Abby Cragun, Sage Nielson, Monica Atkinson and Jordan Harper as committee chair, have been planning and preparing for this year’s event. They wanted to do something different, something special yet something that showed off elegance and simplicity.
