Tremonton City is currently accepting applications for paid Volunteer Firefighters working on-call. The application can be downloaded from the City’s website and position functions and qualifications may be reviewed at www.tremontoncity.com.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Bear River Regional and Logan City Housing Authorities have reviewed and adjusted their annual agency plans.  The public is invited to review these PHA plans at Bear River Association of Governments, 170 North Main, Logan, Utah.  Business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A public hearing regarding the PHA plans is scheduled for March 25, 2014 at 1:00 p.m.  The hearing will be held at the Brigham City Emergency Services Facility, 420 West Forest Street in Brigham City, Utah.

PUBLIC NOTICE
BEAR RIVER CANAL COMPANY
The Annual Stockholders Meeting of the BEAR RIVER CANAL COMPANY will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Bear River High School Presentation Room.  An election will be held for the board member’s seats presently held by Jay Capener – North District (North of Factory Street, West of the Bear River) and Curtis Marble – South District (South of State Highway 13 & 83 – Thiokol Highway).
Nominees should own a minimum of 20 shares in the Bear River Canal Company and represent each described geographic district.
Nominees may be submitted to the nominating committees by any shareholder from any district.
If you wish to be considered for nomination or to nominate someone to hold one of these board positions, please contact Jason Capener at 435-279-3599 or Shane Rampton at 435-279-7313 for the North District; and Ben Ferry at 435-720-1549 or Bruce Hubbard at 435-230-0493 for the South District.

PUBLIC NOTICE
The Garland City Council has passed ORDINANCE, O-14-01, amending section 1-6-5(A) of the Garland City Code changing meetings dates.  The Garland City Council will hold a work session meeting at seven o’clock p.m. followed by a regular meeting at eight o’clock p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month.  The ordinance was passed and adopted on the 29th day of January 2014.  A copy of the ordinance is available for review at the city office, 72 North Main Street, Garland, Utah, 84312, during normal business hours.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
Notice is hereby given that the Box Elder County Planning Commission will hold public hearings on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible in the Box Elder County Commission Chambers [Historic Courthouse, 01 South Main Street, Brigham City, Utah] to receive input on the following proposed petitions:
PUBLIC HEARING
1. Amendment to Chapter 5-1, Regulations Applicable to All Zones.  Clarify that the regulations in said chapter are applicable in all zoned and un-zoned areas throughout the county.
2. Amendment to Chapter 2-2, Section 2-2-160, Temporary Use Permit.  Distinguish Special Event Permit from Temporary Use Permit and outline the process for both permits.
3. Nancy and Dan Burton 3-Lot Subdivision, SS14-001, located at approximately 10840 N 10800 W in the Thatcher area of Box Elder County.
4. Kimber Subdivision, SS14-003, a three lot subdivision located at approximately 13255 N Grouse Creek Rd. in the Grouse Creek area of Box Elder County.

COUNTY ORDINANCE #379
On January 22, 2014 the Box Elder County Commission adopted Ordinance #379 amending Article 5, “Minimum Road Standards”, Section 5-1-330 Paragraph C, “Minimum Standard Drawings”, of the Box Elder County Land Use Management & Development Code, updating road standards and providing that these ordinances shall become effective upon publication.
