A semi trailer being towed on I-15 Thursday morning caught fire and burned before fire crews could extinguish the flames.
According to a report from the Utah Highway Patrol a tow truck was towing a semi with double trailers southbound at milepost 396 about 2:30 a.m., when the driver heard a loud bang and pulled over to check the vehicle. The semi being towed was on fire. Fire crews arrived and were able to put out the blaze, leaving the semi with minor damage. One of the trailers, however, was a total loss.
