Lifeline Assistance – Who qualifies?
Low-income telephone assistance is available to qualifying low-income Beehive Telephone customers through the “Lifeline” and “Link-up” federal telephone assistance programs.
Lifeline provides qualified customers with a monthly reduction on their telephone bill.
Link-up assists in paying for the installation of basic telephone service by reducing connection charges by 50% or $30, whichever is less.
Beehive Telephone customers who participate in at least one of the following programs are eligible for telephone assistance: Medicaid, Food Stamps, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Federal Housing Assistance, Nevada Energy Assistance Program (EAP), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families Program (TANF), National School Lunch Program (NSL).
Beehive Telephone customers who do not participate in one of the above programs are eligible if their income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

A Conservation District (CD), is a governmental limited purpose local district.  Its purpose is to improve and protect land and water resources for public benefit.  A 5-member elected citizen board governs a CD.  They serve 4-year terms of office.  They provide local governance to federal, state and local government conservation programs.  Board decisions are made in meetings open to the public.
Elections are in progress to fill 2 Supervisor positions on each of the state’s 38 CD boards. Candidates were selected by a local nominating committee.  Ballots are mailed to private agricultural land operators listed with the Utah Conservation Commission (UCC).    The UCC and the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food direct and conduct these elections.
Any registered Utah voter, or private agricultural land owner/manager not on the list, may vote by requesting a ballot.
Ballot request forms are available from your CD chair, Co. USU Extension office, USDA Service Center, County Clerk; or writing UCC, Box 146500, SLC, Utah 84114-6500; calling 801-538-7120; fax 801-538-9436; email UDAF-SoilCons@utah.gov, or voters may register for this election to receive a ballot on the Internet at http://webapp.ag.utah.gov/CDElection/. Tremonton City Corporation
Tremonton City Municipal Election will be held Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Tremonton City Civic Center, 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah.  Polls will be open from
7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  A sample ballot is attached.
Early Voting will be conducted between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – noon and 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays beginning October 22, 2013 and continuing through November 1, 2013 in the Office of the City Recorder at 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah. A sample ballot is attached.
Certification of Ballot Counting Equipment: Box Elder County will publicly conduct a logic and accuracy test and demonstration of the automatic tabulating equipment that will be used to count the ballots for the Municipal General Election to be held November 5, 2013.  The demonstration and test will be conducted October 18, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in room #10 of the County Courthouse located at 01 South Main Street, Brigham City, Utah.  The test and demonstration is open to the public in accordance with Utah Code 20A-4-104 and 20A-3-201.
Qualifications to Vote:  Be a U.S. Citizen; resident of the State of Utah for over 30 days preceding the election, 18 years of age by November 05, 2013, and registered to vote in Box Elder County.
You must present a valid form of identification to the poll worker at the time you vote.
