By Madison Cook/BRMS correspondent
School has been in session for about eight weeks now and we are off to a great start!
The BRMS PTSA fundraiser is back! The fundraiser starts Tuesday, Oct. 8. We will be selling World’s Finest Chocolate candy bars. A box contains 60 bars, four wonderful flavors at $1 each. For additional boxes, send a signed note and number of boxes needed! If you would like to make a charitable donation to the school, donations will be accepted in the school office. The fundraiser will end Monday, Oct.23 . Remember the school will get things like document cameras, copy machine or clickers with the funds so buy those bars!
On Oct. 9, there will be Parent-Teacher Conferences from 3:30-7 p.m. Oct. 10, a Child Abuse Prevention discussion will be held during all eighth grade math classes, and will be held Oct. 15, for ninth graders, also during the math classes.
During first trimester instructors will come and teach about child abuse. Second trimester they teach about internet safety, cyber bullying, and anti pornography.
Third trimester the instruction will be about healthy relationships for ninth graders and shaking baby syndrome for eighth graders.
Fall break is right around the corner and will be Oct. 16-18.
