The Bear River girls’ soccer team hosted Ben Lomond today and lost 2-1. The teams were scoreless at the end of the first half. Early in the second half the Scots scored and took the lead, 1-0.

The Bears had plenty of opportunities on goal but could not find the back of the net. The Scots got their second goal off a bad hop that barely went over Bear River’s goal keeper, extending their lead 2-0.

With only a few minutes left Whitney Wilcox score the Bears first goal, 2-1. But it was too little too late for the Bears as time expired. Bear River walked away with their first loss in region play.

The Bears will now host Tooele on Thursday, Sept. 26.
