The death of a West Corinne farmer who’s body was found in an irrigation ditch, does not appear to be suspicious, according to a release from the Box Elder County Sheriff’s office.
Milton Yagi, 84, was reported missing by his wife on the evening of Sept. 4. She told responding deputies that he had gone to change an irrigation gate in their field and had not returned. A search of the area located the man’s truck but no one around. Yagi was found deceased in the water later that night.
While an accidental fall or a possible medical condition is suspected, the body will be sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office to pinpoint the exact cause of death.
