Bear River Middle School orientation will be Aug. 14, at 5:30 p.m. The registration process will be done online. The registration window will be available through Friday, Aug. 9. Log on to the school website, www.brms.besd.net, and click on the registration link. Carefully read and watch tutorials to help with registration. Wheat and Beet
Wheat and Beet Day applications can be picked up at the Garland City Office or online for the Battle of the Bands, booths, kickball, parade and other events.
The Garland Wheat and Beet committee is looking for aspiring or well-established bands to join in the Battle of the Bands. Friday, Aug. 2, at 7 p.m., at the City Park. All bands or soloists will be allowed two numbers of family-friendly music. Entry fee $5 for solos, $10 per band. We have judges this year and cash prizes will be given. Any vendors interested in participating in Wheat and Beet Days, please contact the city office.

A Back-to-School workshop for girls, ages 11-15, will be held Aug. 5-7, from 1-3 p.m., at the Hampton Inn Hotel Conference Room in Tremonton. Classes on self-esteem, friends, stress management, goal setting, teen survival skills, skin care, fashion and hair trends, healthy relationship and more are planned. A Clothing Exchange and Give-Away will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., on the grass between the Tremonton City offices and the Food Pantry. Everyone is welcome to bring in or pick up any clothing items. This event is supported by Secure Storage, Feldman’s and the Tremonton Fire Department.
