A motorcyclist from Oregon suffered serious leg and torso injuries Tuesday afternoon after losing control of his bike on I-84.
A report from Utah Highway Patrol said the man, 66-year-old Timothy Williams, was traveling east near Tremonton and exited on the ramp at milepost 40. It appeared the bike drifted off the left shoulder, and when Williams attempted make corrections, he lost control, tipping it on its side.
The victim was ejected in the crash. He was taken by ambulance to Bear River Valley Hospital and then airlifted to McKay-Dee Hospital.
Williams was wearing a helmet, according to the report. Investigators are reviewing the crash to determine the cause, as speed did not appear to be factor.
