Sign up for Wheat & Beet Fun Run, Aug. 3, at Garland City or Garland Library websites. Aug. 3, is the annual Wheat and Beet Breakfast, 6:30-9 a.m. Volunteers are needed. Breakfast prices are $15 per family, $3.50 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Proceeds benefit the library.
Walk Against Suicide
The Northern Box Elder County Suicide Prevention Coalition will host a walk to prevent suicide Friday, July 19, at Jeanie Stevens Park. Registration will start at 8 p.m., by the stage. The walk begins at 8:30. There is no cost to this event.
Brides on Display
Bridal and prom dresses, by legendary wedding dress maker Ora Thompson, are on display at the Bear River Valley Museum. A program and fashion show featuring some of the dresses will be held Saturday, July 27, beginning at 3 p.m.
A Back-to-School workshop for girls, ages 11-15, will be held Aug. 5-7, from 1-3 p.m., at the Hampton Inn Hotel Conference Room in Tremonton. Classes on self-esteem, friends, stress management, goal setting, teen survival skills, skin care, fashion and hair trends, healthy relationships and more are planned.
