haystack fire 4Update:  The Deweyville hay fire, being called the Johnson Ranch fire, caused close to $40,000 in loss of hay, straw,  lumber and cedar posts, as well as damage to a new outbuilding owned by Erik and Lori Johnson. Greg Martz, county fire marshal, said investigators are still trying to determine what caused the stacks to ignite, as it was a older hay and straw.  Martz said, for now it is considered accidental, but suspicious.  An outbuilding had vinyl melt and plastic doors and exterior lights destroyed, but firefighters were able to keep it from doing more damage.  Crews will be on scene most ofWednesday monitoring the still burning hay bales.
