A fire that started along I-84 about milepost 32 spread north to private grazing ground and threatened barns and sheds on the Selman property on Monday.
Box Elder County Fire Marshal Greg Martz said the blaze, being called the 32 Fire, was likely started from vehicles and was actually two fires that burned into one bigger on.
Fire crews from the county and Forest Services, as well as Tremonton, Garland, Fielding, Howell and Thatcher were on scene to help bring the fire under control.
Martz said equipment was on scene to cut a fire line around the burn to keep the fast-moving flames contained. Monday afternoon the fire had destroyed about 60 acres and he estimated that with the break in place, the fire should be held to under 600 acres.
