OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA            A Brigham City woman died following a two-car crash on I-15 near Elwood Saturday night.

A report from the Utah Highway Patrol said Faymarie Eames, 57, entered the freeway from Elwood at just before 9 p.m., on July 6, in a 1998 Buick Park Avenue.  Near milepost 377, it appeared the driver attempted to turn left from the outside lane to get to a median emergency turn at that location.

As she turned, the vehicle was broadsided by a 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by Rondell Nielson, 52, of Garland.

Eames had to be extricated and both drivers were transported by ambulance to Bear River Valley Hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead.  The driver of the truck suffered injuries to his arm.  Both were wearing seatbelts.

Troopers closed down the inside lane of travel for approximately two hours while the crash scene was investigated.

The report also said Eames had recently moved to Brigham City from Logan.
