LaRue Faddis Knudsen

LaRue Faddis KnudsenLoving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

LaRue was born October 9, 1917, in Storrs, Utah to Samuel Joseph Faddis and Catherine Clark of Provo, UT. She married Moyle L. Knudsen on October 11, 1937 in Malad, Idaho. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on October 11, 1979. To this marriage were born four children, Erma “Kay”, Connie Paige, Leslie Moyle & Kevin Brent.                LaRue was a homemaker and a good one. No one ever left her house hungry.

She has lived in Provo, UT, Salt Lake City, UT, Los Angeles, CA, Covina, CA, Portage, UT and St. George, UT.

While living in So. California she was a PTA President, member of the Covina Women’s Club and Covina Golf Club. She was also a Hospital Volunteer (Pink Ladies) in Covina, CA and St. George, UT.

She loved to cook and bake. She loved dancing, camping and fishing with Dad. She also loved golfing with friends.

LaRue was a active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Sunday School teacher and a Primary teacher for many years.  She loved all children.

LaRue was the last member of her family and is survived by her children, 16 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

A viewing was held prior to the funeral services on Saturday May 25, 2013 at the Fielding Stake Center. Burial was in the Portage, UT Cemetery.

LaRue spent her last eight years at the BRVCC. We wish to thank them for all of the loving care given to our special Mom.

Caydannce Gayle Copeland

Brigham City- Caydannce Gayle Copeland, 5, passed away at her home with her family by her side on May 30, 2013. She was born Feb. 5, 2008 to Jason Copeland and Amber Walker in Salt Lake City, UT.

Caydannce didn’t live long on this earth, but the time we had with her was precious and will always be treasured. She loved it when we would take her fishing, listen to music, play with her brothers and especially loved splashing at bath time.

She is survived by her parents; Brothers, Bradyn, Tayson, Kolton; Grandparents, Ty & Brenda Copeland, Jeff & Mary Walker; Great Grandparents, Joan Erickson, and LeWayne & Grace Walker; as well as many cousins, aunts & uncles.

There will be a Graveside Service held at the Honeyville Cemetery on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing at the Honeyville LDS Church from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service. Online condolences may be shared at www.rogersandtaylor.com

Bear River City – 94, Georgia Delilah Scoffield passed away on May 27, 2013 in Logan Utah. She was born October 22, 1918 in Millville Utah to George Ephraim and Delilah Marie Humphreys Larson. Georgia married Lyle Hoffman in 1944, he died in the service. They had one son. She later married Roland Flient Scoffield in Reno, Nevada on January 11, 1947.

Georgia grew up in Millville and worked hard on the farm.  She loved camping with friends and enjoyed winters in Overton Nevada. Georgia excelled in crocheting and knitting.  She enjoyed gardening and out fishing with dad.  As a family they enjoyed Sunday dinners with her wonderful pies and rolls.
She was a member of the Bear River City LDS Third Ward.

Georgia is survived by her children; Gary Scoffield, Tremonton, Lyle Scoffield, Brigham, Georgia Lee Steffenhagen (Scott), Logan, Rex Scoffield, Brigham, and Jon Scoffield (Wendy), Tremonton. Lloyd Larsen, CA, Glen Larson, Kaysville. Coy Raskelley Smithfield, Lois Merrill, Roy & Nancy Price, CA.

She is preceded in death by her Husband Roland, Daughter Brenda, Daughter-in-law Donna,  Brother Joe Larson, & sisters Montis Jensen & Venice Pitcher.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Bear River L.D.S. Church 5870 North 4700 West, Bear River City, Utah.
Visitations will be Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home located at 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, Utah, and again prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 at the Bear River City L.D.S. Church. Interment will be in the Bear River City Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Williamsburg Staff and the staff of the Primrose Hospice especially Tara & Ben.

Eula Deakin

Eula Erma Stanger Deakin 77, passed away on May 27, 2013, in Ogden, Utah. Eula was born on March 4, 1936 in College Ward, Utah to Erma Olsen Adams & Nile G. Stanger.  Eula married John Deakin on April 2, 1952.

During her life she lived in Logan, Fielding, and Tremonton, Utah.  While living in Tremonton, She attended Bear River High School.

Eula was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was the Tremonton 5th Ward Quilting Director, the Primary Secretary & a Fielding Young Women’s Leader. Some of the hobbies that Eula loved were sewing, quilting, & crocheting.  She was a secretary of the Bear River Valley Hospital Ladies Auxiliary

She is survived by her children: Jackie (Steven) Elsnab, South Ogden; Joyce Cox, Elwood & Dianne (Lance) Steward, Tremonton, Four brothers:  Brent (Denice) Adams & Bruce (Susan) Adams, Wayne and  Dean Stanger and two sisters:  Ida (Max) Neiderhauser, and Terri  (Janius) Gibbons.

She is preceded in death by Her Husband, John Deakin; daughter,  Carol Ann Steed, Father, Nile G. Stanger & Mother,  Erma Olsen Adams & Step Father Ray Adams.

Funeral services for Eula will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 12:00 Noon in the Tremonton Fifth Ward Chapel (300 S. Tremont St.).  Viewings will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and from 10:30- 11:30 a.m. previous to the funeral. Both viewings will be held at the Tremonton Fifth Ward Chapel.
