The Bear River Band presented their annual fundraiser dinner/dance at the high school on Saturday. Hundreds of people enjoyed a fine meal and terrific music provided by the band.
The group uses the dinner/dance, dubbed ‘A Midnight Stroll,’ as their main fundraiser for the year. They hoped to raise $2,000 from the night to help replace aging band uniforms.
Band director Wade Walton said he was thrilled with the showing of support from the community, who purchased tickets for the event. He also gave special thanks to Kent’s Market, for their help and donations for the event.
The band learned over 60 songs for the night, from slow to upbeat, in order to provide music for all ages and genres. As was evident on the dance floor Saturday, the night was a hit.
