Oren Norman “Bill” Hansen

Elwood – Oren Norman “Bill” Hansen, 82, passed away on April 12, 2013 in Brigham City. He was born July 14, 1930 in Elwood, UT to Ephraim Peter and Carrie Janette Hansen.

Bill attended grade school in Elwood and graduated from Bear River High School. He worked seasonally at the Garland sugar beet factory.  His life was dedicated to his mother and the family farm. He had a passion for reading anything he could get his hands on and visiting with anyone who would listen. Bills mornings consisted of visiting with friends at the Green Rock Café over coffee. He enjoyed weekly visits and meals at aunt Fontella’s home with many nieces and nephews.  Later in life he made several good friends at the care center.

Bill is survived by a sister, Anna Hansen Hunsaker; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Fontella Anderson, Eldon Hansen, Arlene Hughes, and Rulon Hansen.

The family would like to thank the staff and friends, especially Nurse, Jenny Lyn at the Willow Glen care center for the loving care they gave Bill.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday April 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. – Tremonton) There will be a viewing prior to the funeral from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.rogersandtaylor.com

Milly Jill Smith

Milly Jill Smith passed away on Sunday April 14, 2013 at Primary Children Hospital and has returned to her loving Heavenly Father. She was born May 16, 1996 to Rulon (Duely) & Robyn Smith of Elwood, Utah. She is the granddaughter of Lynn & Connie Peterson of St, Charles, Idaho and Jay & Grace Smith of Hyrum, Utah.
Milly came into the world as a special needs child, because of her condition she was able to meet many new friends. She loved being a happy girl. She had an unbelievable sense of humor and was a tease. She loved Ice cream, shopping, watching videos, looking at books, eating hamburgers and drinking root beer. Milly is a home body that was her favorite place to be.
She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a Laurel and enjoyed attending Seminary. She loved Mrs. Pond and enjoyed the cards the class would send her when she was home sick.
She is survived by her siblings Chassidy Reudas (Hyrum), Chisholm Smith (Thatcher), Brad (Amber) Smith (Tremonton), Stephanie (Dane) Conger (Tremonton), Megan Smith & Wendy Smith (Elwood) Five nieces and three nephews. She is preceded in death by her niece Kylee Reudas.
We would like to thank Bear River Medical, McKay Dee Hospital, Utah State Baby Watch, Primary Children’s and Box Elder School District Special Needs Department.
Milly left to go back to heaven as a special daughter of God.
Funeral services will be held Friday April 19, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Noon in the Elwood LDS Church (4865 W 9600 N, Elwood Utah). Viewings will be held on April 18, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. in the Elwood LDS church (4865 W 9600 N.) and from 10:30- 11:40 a.m. prior to the Funeral. Interment will be in the Elwood Cemetery.
