Seven occupants of this van escape serious injuries on Thursday, March 28, after a rear tire lost its tread, causing it to roll on I-15, near milepost 368. Trooper Devin Rose of the Utah Highway Patrol said the single-car accident occurred about noon, as the van, loaded with family members out of the Salt Lake area and two friends from Mexico, was headed to Wyoming. When the tire failed, the van hit the center guardrail and then went off the shoulder, rolling three times. Four Brigham City ambulances were dispatched to transport the injured to Brigham City Community Hospital, where they were treated, the most severe being head injuries, Rose said. All appeared to be wearing seatbelts.
