An 83-year-old Plymouth man is dead following an accident Wednesday morning, March 27, on SR-13, north of Plymouth.  In a Friday morning interview, Box Elder County Sheriff Lynn Yeates said witnesses on I-15 saw a vehicle, driven by Mitchell Hess, traveling at a high rate of speed, run into the cement barriers at the end of SR-13, followed by a heavy cloud of dust.  Responding officers found the deceased victim inside the car, which had come to rest on top of a barrier.  An examination of the scene indicated Hess was likely traveling over 70 miles an hour before he attempted to break, Yeates said, and the impacted barriers had been moved nearly 10 feet.
