Local “Music Man” named to Hall of Fame

Music has always been a mainstay in Carl Ashby’s life, whether it was blending his voice with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, directing young voices at Bear River High School or, as he presently does, conducting the Bear River Community Chorale.  Now the man and his music have earned high recognition from the Utah Music Educators Association.
On Feb. 1, at the 41st annual awards recognition program put on by UMEA, Ashby of Tremonton, was inducted into the Hall of Fame.  There to support and applaud him was his wife and biggest fan, Barbara.
