The Bear River girls’ basketball team traveled to Weber State today to take on the Carbon Dinos in the consolation round of the state tournament. It was a back and forth battle as the lead changed 13 times throughout the game. The teams also tied 10 different time.
But the Bears came out on fire in the fourth quarter and started to pull away. Jordan Theurer lead the Bears with 16 points. Alyssa Park was the second highest scorer for the Bears with 11 points. Kelsee Hancock and Terrell Fridal both score 8 points, while Kenzi Summers and Sarah Huber both scored 6. Paige Roholt also added a point for the Bears.
The Bears will now face the winner of the game between Morgan, a region rival, or Delta, the team the Bears beat with a buzzer beater in the first round of playoff last year.
