It wasn’t pretty. In fact, the two teams combined for 70 turnovers, but the Bears had enough in the tank in the end to pull off a 56-48 win over visiting Spanish Fork on Saturday night in Garland.

Jordan Theurer led all scorers with 27 points. Terrell Fridal and Alyssa Park added 8 each for the Bears, who had 33 turnovers in the game. Alyssa Blount scored 12 for Spanish Fork, who turned the ballĀ  over 37 times in the game.

Bear River now plays the winner of Cedar City/Uintah on Thursday at 4:10 at Weber State University. The boys basketball team plays earlier that day against Judge Memorial at 11:10 at Weber State.
