Gun blast injures men
An afternoon at Little Mountain took a bad turn for a father from Ogden and son from Plain City on Saturday, leaving one man with stitches to his face and the other with hearing loss.
Chief Deputy Sheriff Kevin Potter said the two men, ages 61 and 31, were sighting in a 22/250 just before 1 p.m. The gun blew up when the 61-year-old pulled the trigger, sending pieces of metal flying. The 31-year-old was struck in the face by some of the shrapnel.
The two men drove themselves to Brigham City Community Hospital where they were both treated for their injuries.
