It was just a few minutes of glory but the hard work and experiences leading up to it was priceless for local Bear River sophomore, Meagan Martineau, who was invited to perform at the National Football Championship game on Jan. 7, in Miami, Florida. The game between Notre Dame and Alabama resulted in a win for Alabama but for Meagan, she experienced a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Only a few students from across the country were invited to attend the game and perform with the All-Star Invitational Marching Band and Color Guard teams. Meagan, daughter of Lynn and Michelle Martineau of Tremonton, was sent an anonymous letter asking her to tryout for the competition, so she did. On Oct 1, 2012, she received a letter saying she had made the All-Star Color Guard team.
