Update: At about 7:40 a.m., Friday morning, a bus carrying 30 elementary students heading to Century Elementary hit a two-ton farm truck head-on west of Corinne
injuring three children. A boy and a girl were transported to Brigham City Community Hospital with head and neck injuries. Another girl was taken to Bear River Valley Hospital with an injury to her arm. The other children and the drivers of both vehicles were treated at the scene by EMS. The children were then taken to a nearby home and parents were notified that they could come and pick them up or a second bus would be dispatched to transport them to school.
Box Elder County Chief Deputy Sheriff Kevin Potter said there was heavy fog in the area and the two-lane road was snow packed, giving no visible lane markings. Both the truck and the bus were traveling in the center of the road due to those conditions.
No citations were issued but the accident is still under investigation.
