Library Activities

The Tremonton City Library is offering activities during the month of January.  On Wednesday, Jan. 9, an adult computer class will begin at the Bear River Valley Senior Center and run every Wednesday, from 6-8 p.m., for eight weeks.  A similar computer class for seniors will also run the same days, from 9-11 a.m., also at the senior center.  The second annual Princess Party for girls is set for Saturday, Jan. 26, also at the senior center.  Tickets are on sale now at the library for $2.  Space is limited to this activity so early purchase of tickets is encouraged.

Elwood Ski Night

Elwood Town will host its annual Ski Night at Beaver Mountain Ski Resort on Wednesday, Jan. 30.  Residents of Deweyville are also invited to participate.  The office will open at 4:30 p.m., and the lift will start at 5 p.m.  Lift tickets are $12 and ski rentals are available for $10.  Snowboards can be rented for $12.  The cost of lessons is $8 and must be paid in advance by calling 1-866-652-4324.

ACHI Teacher Night

Tremonton McDonalds and Alice C. Harris Intermediate School will join forces on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 15-16, for Teacher Night at McDonalds.  This annual fundraiser had teachers socializing with patrons, with a percentage of the evening’s proceeds going to the school.  ACHI students and their parents are encourage to participate.

Constitution Class

A class on the constitution is being offered in Brigham City, with the first class being held on Thursday, Jan. 10, at 6:30 p.m., in the Wellness Center conference room, located north of Bejing Buffet on at about 650 South Main.  The curriculum topic will be “To Preserve the Nation” by Scott N.
