BC home damaged in fire
A basement fire in Brigham City that sent two people to the hospital is still under investigation, according to Jim Buchanan, Emergency Services manager. Â The fire was reported just after 10:30 p.m., Monday night, Jan. 7, at 133 W. 600 N., with the concern that two people may be inside the home. Â Fire crews from Brigham City were joined by the Corinne Fire Department and together were able to extinguish the blaze in the smoke-filled home. Â A husband and wife were both transported by ambulance to Brigham City Community Hospital where they were treated for smoke inhalation. Â An 18-year-old female, reported to also be in the house, could not located, Buchanan said. Â Oxygen therapy was also administered to a kitten found in the home.
Investigators were on scene Tuesday morning, but have yet to determine the cause of the fire or the total dollar amount of damage, Buchanan said.
