Shoemaker, Elves entertain at Center
Everyone is invited out to a special holiday puppet show Saturday, Dec.15, at 2 p.m., at the Fine Arts Center.
This hour-long program features both wide mouth and marionette puppets in their own retelling of the Brothers Grimm story, “The Shoemaker and the Elves.” Meet a host of fun puppet characters as they celebrate the holiday season and help tell this charming tale.
“We try to do a couple of special puppet shows a year.” stated Susan Neidert, puppetry director. “This year it is exciting to have a few new adults, Lynn Hess and Jennifer Delaney, on the puppet team which means a more detailed set design and more puppet character development.”
Several youth are also involved and the show promises to be fun for all ages. See what a little bit of extra kindness can do. Admission is $2 per person or $5 per family, or a donation for the Community Pantry. The World of Puppetry Museum will be open afterward until 5 p.m., as well.
