Bear River High and Middle schools students were shocked to learn Friday that a popular drama teacher, Bradlee Skinner, had resigned.

Rumors about his resignation spread across the valley, as administrators at the high school were keeping quiet on matter.  A request for information from Box Elder School District Superintendent Ron Wolff was met with this response:

“A teacher was placed on paid administrative leave during an investigation regarding financial issues.  Following the investigation, the teacher submitted their resignation from the district.  The evidence collected during the investigation has been turned over to other agencies for possible action.”

Skinner had been a teacher at the high school since the 2005-2006 school year, and was head of the drama department.  He directed many of the school’s productions.  He also taught ballroom dance classes and was instrumental in putting on the annual “Dancing with the Stars” fundraiser.
