Museum Christmas

The Bear River Valley Museum is preparing for winter with new hours, Monday-Friday, from 1-5 p.m.  To schedule visits at other times, call Roberta Fronk, 435-257-7696.

Christmas at the Museum runs through Dec. 21, and includes a gift boutique, decorated trees for sale and goodies.  Gingerbread cookies are available for children to decorate.   Crafts for kids, ages 5-12, will be offered Dec. 13, 18, and 21, from 4-6 p.m.  Cost is $2, which also includes a cookie and hot chocolate.  Mondays are Family Night at the Museum, with hot chocolate and cookies, as well as Christmas stories by Jan Varga, from 4-6 p.m.

Sing-a-long with the Fronk group will be Dec. 8 and 15, from 4-6 p.m., and McQuire Girls will be Saturday, Dec. 15, 2-3 p.m.

Christmas Spectacular

The second annual Christmas Music Spectacular will be held Friday, Dec. 7, at 7 p.m., at the Brigham City Tabernacle.  Special guest performer will be Paul Cardall.  Admission to the concert is free.

Volunteers sought

Volunteers of all ages are needed to help plan and organize the 15th annual Fun Run.  This fun, family event is held in conjunction with Garland Wheat & Beet Days and all proceeds go directly to the Garland City Library.  If you are willing to volunteer, please contact Marsha Adams at (435) 458-3243 by Jan. 10.

Job Workshop

The Garland City Library and the Department of Workforce Services will present a Job Seeking Skills workshop at the Garland City offices on Wednesdays, Dec. 12 and 19, from 5-7 p.m.  Please plan on arriving 10 to 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

This free workshop will offer strategies and tips on developing better job searching skills, networking, resume writing and interviewing skills.

Share Christmas

“Share a Little Christmas” concert will be held Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Bear River High School auditorium.  Performers from youth groups from Park Valley to Brigham City will be participating and a bake sale sponsored by BRHS student counsel will be offered.  Stop by with a can of food for the Tremonton Food Pantry and have a picture taken with Santa.

Here Comes Santa

Santa Claus will be at Box Elder County Credit Union in Garland, 1300 S. Main, on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon.  Youngsters will be able to have their pictures taken with St. Nick and treats will be handed out.

Tremonton Library

The Tremonton City Library will host a workshop with comic book author and illustrator Gary Bratner on Dec. 13, 5 p.m., at the Bear River Valley Senior Center.

Christmas Crafts with children will be held Dec. 15, from noon-3 p.m., at the library, will Santa in attendance from 1-3 p.m.  Free pictures with Santa will be taken and a treat given.

Polar Express

Santa will be on the Polar Express train, which winds through the streets of Corinne Monday, Dec. 10 and 17, and Tuesday, Dec. 18.  Boarding times are 5:45 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.  Come see Santa in his workshop and hear Mrs. Claus tell the Polar Express story.  On the train, join in with Santa as he sings Christmas songs.

There is a $3 charge for the ride, in advance, or $4 at the door – the Old Mercantile, 3944 W. 2350 N., Corinne.  Popcorn and hot chocolate will also be on sale.  For reservations, call 435-744-2442 or 435-720-7304.
