Chase ends in arrest

Garland police made an arrest Monday evening following a chase, a crash, a fire and a manhunt through a Tremonton neighborhood.

Tremonton police chief Dave Nance said a Garland officer reported following a vehicle apparently stolen from Sofa’s Bar in Garland just before 9 p.m. The pursuit ended up on the Iowa String Road southbound, near the Maverik station, when the driver failed to make a left hand turn at 600 South at a high rate of speed and struck a tree.  The driver fled from the vehicle on foot, just before it burst into flames and burned.  The Tremonton Fire Department responded to the fire.

Tremonton officers joined Garland police in a search of the surrounding neighborhoods for the man and a Brigham City canine unit was also called in to assist.  The suspect was reported spotted by several residents, but officers were unable to locate him.

About an hour into the search, it was reported that the suspect had made his way back to the Garland area, and an arrest was made.

A car was stolen from Sofa’s Bar in Garland, near the Maverik station? I don’t understand! Maverik is in Tremonton. Unless we’re talking about some other Maverik station. I was kinda confused about that.

I see stupid people. Walking around like regular people. They don’t see each other. They only read what they wanna read. They don’t know they’re stupid.

    Re-read the article…

I find it funny how you call one person stupid yet you use incomplete sentences. Who’s stupid now? Answer? You are.

I know who this happened too. And sadly she had nothing to do with it at all. Now she has no vehicle and as of right now very stressed out. So yes it was stolen, but not from the bar. But from her home by someone that she trusted. Some people just make me sick. And he is one of them!

I take it back, sorry. I just realized those lines were, more or less, movie quotes.

Annoyed. Sorry this happened to your friend.
