The Bear River cross country team will be running their Region 11 meet today at Cottonwood Complex in Salt Lake City in preparation for the 3A state competition on Oct. 17.
This will mark the last two competitions for a group of senior boys that took the 3A state title in 2010 as sophomores. Camren Chadwick, Tanner Anderson, Spencer Stamps, Brackon Rawlinson and Tanner Christensen took the title together but lost it last year to Ogden, a nationally ranked team. This year Ogden is favored to win state again but the Bears have a shot as a top team.
“They are the most successful group of runners ever at Bear River,” coach Dan Line said. “More region titles, more region medals, a state championship, state medals and all state placing.”
